Common law

(English-French / French-English)

Terminology Bulletin 259

Prepared by the Promoting Access to Justice in Both Official Languages Program (PAJLO) in collaboration with the Translation Bureau, the Law of Trusts Glossary includes 189 entries. The English terms selected for standardization of the French equivalents are mostly technical common law terms used in the law of trusts. Some entries contain notes explaining the different concepts and use of the terms and their equivalents. This glossary is therefore a reference tool of choice not only for all those required to work in the law of trusts field, notably translators, jurists and law and translation students, but also for all those interested in French common law terminology.
