We offer federal departments and agencies, and the Parliament of Canada, a full range of quality language solutions.

Translation Services

  • Translation
    Rewriting a text in another language, taking into account the tone, style and terminology used by the author.
  • Translation of bilingual documents
    Translating a document part of which is in one language and part of which is in another language (e.g. English and French).
  • Translation of changes
    Translating changes made to a text that has already been translated.
  • Adaptation
    Translating a document in a way that makes it easier for the target audience to understand.
  • Sight translation
    Translating a document orally, either in person or by telephone.

Revision Services

  • Editing
    Improving an original text by correcting the grammar or style or by suggesting solutions to make the text easier to read and understand.
  • Revision
    Carefully comparing a translation with the original text and correcting the content and style of the translation.
  • Editing of bilingual documents
    Editing a document part of which is in one language and part of which is in another language.
  • Quality assessment
    Checking whether a translation is accurate and follows the rules of the language in which it is written.
  • Technical or scientific accuracy check
    Closely comparing the technical and scientific information in a translation and the original to make sure it matches.
  • Proofreading
    Reading a text, identifying any errors or typos, and indicating any changes to be made.

    Translating a document, then having the translation revised by another professional.
  • Editing and translation
    Editing an original document, then translating it.
  • Editing and translation of bilingual documents
    Editing a document part of which is in one language and part of which is in another language, then translating it into each of the two languages.

Personalized Services

  • On-site translator
    Assigning a translator to work on site with a client:
    • on a short-term basis (for less than six months)
    • on a long term basis (for more than six months)
  • Dedicated translator
    Assigning one person to translate the texts of a specific client.

Other Services

  • Standby
    Offering the services of a language professional who can be reached on short notice at any time during a specified period.
  • After-hours emergency service
    Providing translation or language services weekdays after 5 p.m., weekends and statutory holidays for unexpected urgent requests.
  • Project management
    Helping a client plan, organize, direct, control and monitor a project.
  • Special administrative services
    Handling a request made up of many files, combining many complex files into a single file, searching for documents that have already been translated, etc.
  • Consulting services
    Analysing a client's language-service needs (translation, revision, interpretation, etc.) and giving advice to the client on how to plan, manage and deliver these services.
  • Writing assistance
    Helping a client write a text.
  • Language advice
    Providing expert advice on translation problems and language issues (grammar, style, punctuation, terminology, etc.).
  • Summary
    Giving an oral or written summary of a document in another language.
